Relic decision guide

Turn relic search into a build decision

A relic is more than the first line on its reward card. Its visible effect can be joined by a hidden passive, an unlock condition, a forge destination or recipe, a Shatter result, and a Tarot relationship.

Search for the trigger your build already repeats, then inspect the complete record before picking, forging, or dismantling. Rarity is useful context, but a lower-rarity relic that completes a reliable trigger chain can matter more than an isolated high-rarity effect.

Read the visible and hidden rules together

Some relics have a separate hidden passive, and some only become available after a stated unlock condition. The collection search includes those fields, so a mechanic or condition may lead to a relic whose card summary does not tell the whole story.

  • Open the detail page when search finds a relic through a trigger that is not obvious on the card.
  • Treat official unlock wording as a requirement, not as a tactical recommendation.

Distinguish a base relic from its forged result

The archive separates the relic you currently own, the forged relic it can become, and the ingredients shown on the forged result. Follow the forge link to compare the complete destination effect before spending components; when viewing a forged relic, check every required ingredient rather than assuming the base item is enough.

  • A forge relationship does not mean both records have the same effect.
  • Compare the new trigger and payoff, not only the forged label.

Treat dismantling as a possible trigger

Shatter is the effect triggered when an item is dismantled. Before clearing inventory, check the relic's Shatter text and whether Tarot or another relic repeats or redirects that event. If no part of the build rewards dismantling, the same item can still be judged as a normal resource choice.

  • Tarot relics connect each Arcana to a base relic and a forged counterpart.
  • Use exact mechanic names to find other relics that pay off the same event.
