Two progression systems

Personal upgrades are separate from the team talent tree

Each hunter owns two basic skills and unlocks one choice from three options at levels 2–6. The permanent team tree uses shared points and its own prerequisites.

How to manage Tarot choices and Starlight with Stella

Stella adds a temporary Tarot decision to each hub through Wheel of Fate, then turns Starlit Card Formation into a stack-based shooting resource. These systems overlap, but a Tarot effect, a Tarot slot, and a Starlight stack are not the same resource.

Use Vintage Musket to learn how a Starlight card inherits current-weapon context. Later equipment should be compared by whether it supports card generation, card impact, Transmutation, or the broader Tarot plan rather than by rarity alone.

Decide how much control the Tarot choice needs

Upgrade branches can show more choices, allow reversal, convert upright or reversed outcomes into different permanent gains, or make a selected effect permanent later. More control improves selection quality; orientation-based rewards may instead make an imperfect card useful. Read both faces before committing.

  • A temporary hub choice does not occupy a normal Tarot slot.
  • Upright and reversed outcomes can support different resources.
  • Permanent gains and temporary card effects must be tracked separately.

Give every Starlight stack a purpose

Starlit Card Formation creates a finite number of enhanced shots. Branches can add stacks, increase card damage, pierce, refund consumed stacks, reset the Battle Skill, or attempt the current weapon's Transmutation. Choose between a larger initial reserve, better value per card, and a loop that replenishes itself.

Keep fate, refunds, and rescue effects conditional

Random Tarot offerings, orientation, card-slot completion, exclusive relic rewards, stack refunds, cooldown resets, and fatal-hit card destruction belong in the conditional ledger. Stable equipment bonuses can be totaled, but future card identity and proc frequency cannot. This keeps several Tarot and Starlight routes valid without presenting one solved build.
