Hunter decision guide
How to turn dismantling and bombs into a Jenny run plan
Jenny connects the equipment economy of Waste to Treasure with the area damage of Wildcat Bomb. Dismantled weapons and parts can advance a replacement cycle, while the bomb carries the current weapon element into a separate combat event.
Start from Vintage Musket, but do not become attached to the initial slot. This hunter rewards knowing when an unwanted drop is worth dismantling, when it should be kept, and whether upgrades are supporting the resource loop or the bomb loop.
Count dismantles as a route, not free value
Resource upgrades can reduce the dismantles needed, add components, scale damage from held components, or improve later replacement rewards. These benefits compete with keeping a useful weapon or part. The correct decision depends on the actual pickup and the next threshold, not on dismantling everything automatically.
- Track dismantles completed in the current run.
- Track components held separately from components earned.
- Evaluate the unidentified replacement only after it is revealed.
Define the bomb's job before upgrading it
Wildcat Bomb can become a priority-target debuff, a Transmutation attempt, a pull for crowd control, a cluster attack, or a more frequent automatic cast. These jobs solve different rooms. Choose whether the bomb prepares enemies for weapon fire, spreads the weapon element, or supplies its own area damage.
Keep drop cycles and chance casts in the ledger
Per-run dismantle milestones, legendary replacement rewards, low-health healing, boss drops, automatic casts, and adaptive no-cost bombs are conditional. Stable component scaling can be calculated from the amount currently held; future drops and proc rates cannot. Compare weapons and parts for the loop they enable instead of announcing a single best loadout.
