Hunter decision guide
How to coordinate shots, dodges, and pursuit with Elena
Elena makes movement part of the damage sequence. Demon Hunting Silver Arrow links a shot to the next dodge, while Demon Hunting Time changes the dodge itself and opens a timed window for critical chance, fire rate, and reload speed.
Practice the sequence with Vintage Musket, then compare equipment by what remains usable while moving. A weapon that looks strong while stationary may lose practical value if its reload or firing pattern does not fit the pursuit window.
Decide how the arrow should be triggered
Upgrade branches can preserve the shot-then-dodge sequence, add more arrows, mark targets, reward enemy-health thresholds, or replace the trigger with a shooting chance. The manual route rewards deliberate movement; the automatic route reduces setup but moves more value into probability.
- Marks support follow-up damage on a chosen target.
- High- and low-health bonuses apply to different parts of an encounter.
- Extra arrows and shards matter only when their own hit conditions are met.
Build the pursuit window for a purpose
Demon Hunting Time can be extended or specialized for critical damage, fire rate, reload speed, automatic activation, or ammunition conservation. Choose whether the window is for burst, sustained mobile fire, or survival. Dodge timing remains a defensive resource even when upgrades turn it into an attack trigger.
Model movement states separately
Active pursuit time, dodge invulnerability, enemy-health thresholds, low-health regeneration, arrow probabilities, and no-ammo-consumption windows are conditional. Keep them outside the permanent total and record when they overlap. The Build Planner can then compare weapons under explicit scenarios without assuming perfect uptime or a mandatory best build.
